Sprint Journal

I’m starting a practice I’m calling sprint journaling, based off of an article I read titled “A Five-Minute Exercise That Every Person Should Do Every Day”. The upshot is that I set a 5 minute timer for myself and see how much I can get down without interruption (with the option of continuing on if I want).

The idea is that if I set a timer I won’t focus too much on the attempt at coming up with a clever subject, or waste time on trying to sound witty. Just put something down on the page (so to speak).

I did my first 5-minute journal sprint using my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil in the GoodNotes App.

This will be an interesting experiment. I doubt that every day will turn into a blog post, but it my help my writing productivity and spur some creative ideas.
